Thanksgiving Day of Service

We inspire and strengthen those we serve so that they too may become an inspiration through strengthening themselves and serving their respective communities.

Economic factors such as unemployment and similar issues are continuing to cause economic issues for families  in Loudoun County. Through a collaborative community effort, we are able to provide boxes of food that will feed a family of four or more during the Thanksgiving Holiday season. Our key partners have included local supermarkets, churches and schools.  Our members  collect, pack and distribute these boxes so that needy families in our community can have a wholesome holiday.

Ron Brown Scholars

We strengthen our youth through their academics to ensure that they are capable of serving their purpose and becoming an inspiration for the next dreamer.

Through a partnership with the Ron Brown Scholar Program we provide financial support for their scholarship program and the Guided Pathway Support (GPS) program.

The Ron Brown Scholar Program  provides young African Americans of outstanding promise with financial resources to attend some of the finest universities in the country to complete their four year education.

The Guided Pathway Support program is a college preparation guidance initiative that prepares African American high school juniors and seniors, parents, and counselors for the college preparation and selection process. This is done through tele-mentoring, leadership conferences, and connections with successful peers on the GPS Workplace Facebook Platform.

LEGACY EFFORTS

Since our foundation was formed we have proudly spearheaded the efforts below to make an impact within the Loudoun County community. While these efforts are now retired we are proud to share our impact thus far.

Salute for Service

 5K Race for the Homeless.

This was an annual fundraiser that fostered local social action participation and community involvement in providing relief for the homeless of Loudoun county. The most recent race raised over $51,000 and provided food and funding for local shelters.

A collaborative effort from partners including Volunteers of America Chesapeake, Mobile Hope of Loudoun and CADCA (Community Anti-Drug Coalitions of America) made the 5K a huge success for the community.

Emerging Men of Excellence

Emerging Men of Excellence provided mentorship, life skills, and tutoring to young men in Middle and High School.

This program focused on elements of excellence through academics, athletics, leadership, and technology for young men in Loudoun County, Virginia.  We held our mentorship gatherings once a month on Saturday mornings.  This program has now evolved into our partnership with Excellent Options and the Loudoun County Public Schools.
